Neil van der Veen has been a qualified PH (Professional Hunter) for the past nine years and has worked with both foreign and local clients. He started out working for Stewart Dorrington @ Melorani Safaris and has since been hunting on a freelance basis.
He has a lot of experience with both rifle and bowhunting as a PH and "backup" PH. Hunts include a 43' Cape Buffalo with bow and 2 other species of the "Big 5" with rifle. He has also guided a client, whom hunted a 44' Sable Antelope and a 60' Kudu.
He is a registered member of PHASA and FGASA, which entitles him to do game viewing trips, which offer clients excellent nature photography opportunities. He did his FGASA Field Guide Course with ANT (African Nature Training) in Sabi Sabi.
Hunting is available all-year round on a concession in the Eastern Free state, whereas hunting can also be arranged on concessions in the rest of South-Africa.
He's a firm believer of good, ethical hunting!
